Carol M. Edelstein

Carol Edelstein, MEd, MBA, is Founder and Consulting Principal for Aspire!Group, LLC. She has over 25 years of coaching and consulting experience in the fields of leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and executive compensation. As a coach, Carol provides individualized feedback and assessment, enhances performance, and creates meaningful behavioral change. She has been personally trained in coaching and certified by Marshall Goldsmith in the Goldsmith training methodology.

Her client base covers a diversity of industries, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. She was selected as a coach for Citigroup’s top 200 leaders, and was trained in their assessment, feedback, and coaching methodology. Carol is certified in Myers-Briggs, FIRO-B, and Hogan Assessment instruments.

In addition to her coaching, Carol’s work in the leadership arena includes leadership strategy, succession planning, and the creation and execution of leadership performance and feedback systems. She consults with senior executives and advises compensation committees on the full range of executive compensation issues, including cash and equity incentive, corporate governance, executive contracts, retention, change-in-control arrangements, market data (including Board compensation), and technical aspects of executive compensation. Her articles have appeared in Compensation and Benefit Review, and she has been quoted in The New York Times, Crain’s New York, Directors and Boards, and other publications.

Prior to forming Aspire!Group in 2007, Carol was a Principal/Partner at Hewitt Associates (now Aon Hewitt) and was a consultant at Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson). Carol received a BS from Cornell University, a MEd from Harvard University, and an MBA from The Stern School at New York University with a major in Management and Organization.
